Soulflake

Feedback

Poke at everything. Then tell me.

Big or small, good or bad. It goes straight to me, and every message gets read.

Now recruiting founding testers

Help build Soulflake

A new place to get to know yourself, and the people in your life. It’s early, it’s growing every day, and I’m looking for a small group of testers to shape it.

What is it?

What Soulflake is

One place for all of you

Not a quiz. A picture of you that keeps growing, built from real research and your own answers.

Your Soulflake

Nine facets of you, each one part of the crystal: mood, traits, taste, capabilities, values, relationships, motivation, behavior and story. Every answer grows it; every facet gives insights back.

Your people

Connect with friends, family or a partner. See how alike you are, where you click, and play games made from your real results, like Two truths and a lie. You choose what they see.

Your story

A timeline of your life, letters to future you, and a biography written from everything you’ve shared. Watch your Soulflake change over time.

And a lot more on the way. Testers see it first and help decide what it becomes.

What you get back

Here’s how it works

Four steps, no homework, no jargon. You don’t need to know anything about personality science. That’s Soulflake’s job.

  1. 1

    Answer honest questions about yourself

You’ll see short statements like this one and tap how much each sounds like you. There are no right answers and nothing to study for. The first reading takes about six minutes, and you can stop and pick up later.

  2. 2

    See yourself measured, not guessed

Your answers are scored on six personality traits that researchers have studied for decades. Each one is a slider, not a box, compared with thousands of real people. Every score comes with what it actually means for how you work, argue, rest and connect, in everyday words.

Into personality types? You’ll also get your best-fit Myers-Briggs and Enneagram types, with what they mean.

  3. 3

    Watch your Soulflake grow

Everything you share becomes part of one picture of you: a crystal with a part for each side of you. Each part lights up as you explore it, and each one gives you something useful back:

    • Capabilities: your top five strengths, and how to lean on them
    • Taste: books, music and hobbies picked just for you
    • Mood: the patterns in your good and bad days
    • Story: a timeline of your life, written up as a biography

No two Soulflakes come out the same, and yours never stops growing.

  4. 4

    Bring your people in

Invite a friend, partner or family member. You’ll see where you’re alike, where you’re different, and why you sometimes rub each other the wrong way, told as a story about the two of you. You decide exactly what they get to see.

Everything above is an example. Yours will be about you.

A note from the creator

Soulflake is meant to be the one-stop shop for getting to know yourself: your traits, taste, strengths, values, moods and story, all in one place, with real rewards for the time you put in.

What you’re seeing is the framework. I work on it every day, and there’s a long list of features on the way. The first step is the data model: Soulflake needs a real sense of who you are before those features can do anything useful. So yes, right now it can feel like a lot of questions. Every answer is what lets me build things that give you something back.

That’s the deal: your answers are used to give you useful insights and rewards. Nothing else. How your data is kept

I won’t be sharing Soulflake widely for a good while, not until it’s ironed out and the features I have in mind are built. Until then, it’s just us. Please bear with me when something breaks, and tell me about it. Ideas, criticism, things you loved, things that confused you: this is the time to put it all out there.

Thank you for helping me build this. Enjoy yourself.
